Agile Philippines Meetup 2019.03
This March’s meetup was hosted by RareJob! This is the first time RareJob is hosting the community, and we’re really excited or the meetup!
Daryl Baes, HR Manager, formally welcomed us to RareJob and to tonight’s meetup.
Good to see everyone in the Quezon City area!
We used Open Space to facilitate the meetup. We had 3 topics (R-J-P) each round, and 3 rounds in total. Each round was 20 minutes long, with 5 minute gaps in between to figure out where to go next:

- J: Tips for Agile Transformation
- P: What is Agile???
- H: —
8:05 PM–8:25 PM:
- R: What is the role of a PM in Scrum? Does the PM need to include in internal testing?
- J: Scrum Master Support: Influential without authority
- P: Scaling Agile
- H: —
8:30 PM–8:50 PM:
- R: Building Agile mindset throughout the organization
- J: Is it advisable to be a Scrum Master and also a Dev Team member in a Team?
- P: If there’s no BA on the project can PM do the specification?

We started wrapping up at 9:00 in the evening with our big closing circle.
…and a quick raffle!
Aaron Medina, Development Manager, closed the night:
As always, we think we could have gone longer, but that will have to wait until the next meetup!
Thank you again to RareJob for warmly hosting us for March. Special thanks to Marvin Relente, Aaron Medina, Gio Perez, Mark Saludares, and the RareJob HR and Admin Teams for making this event a success!
Agile Philippines meetups happen every last Wednesday (mostly) of a month. This is a community event, and is only made possible by the people who go to the meetups, and the organizations who open their doors to allow us to meet as a community.
Please do reach out to our Facebook group if your organization is interested in hosting a future meetup.
See you later this April at Manulife Philippines in Makati City at their new offices! We will be one day early (Tuesday), April 23! See you!
