Agile Philippines Meetup 2019.08
Globe hosted the Agile Philippines meetup for August! This is the second year straight that Globe hosted the community, and we are very thankful for their support!
Richley Arellano, Agile Delivery Head, formally welcomed us to Globe and to tonight’s meetup!
We then had 2 talks: Nica Pormilda shared her learnings and experience at the Agile 2019 conference, then Mariel Raz shared the Globe Broadband Team’s experience in going Agile.
There were even awards for the early birds this early in the meetup!
Globe was well prepared for this meetup as well!
We used Open Space to facilitate the meetup. We had 5 topics each round, and 3 rounds in total. Each round was 20 minutes long, with 5 minute gaps in between to figure out where to go next:

- E: Agile ghosting (horror stories)
8:50 PM––9:10 PM:
- G: When to surrender?
- L: Preventing sprint extension
- O: Stop, perserve, pivot?
- B: Value quantification then prioritization
- E: Transforming from Developer to Scrum Master
We started wrapping up past 9:00 in the evening with our big closing circle:
