Agile Philippines Meetup 2021.03
March. Third month of 2021. 73rd meetup overall. Great to see everyone in the meetup!
The cover photo was from the March meetup in 2019. We did not have a March 2020 meetup due to the pandemic.
We made use of Lean Coffee to facilitate the meetup. We had whole group discussions for the first and last topic, and smaller, breakout room discussions for the remaining topics.
Each topic had a 20 minute timebox, which was split into 2 parts: a 14 minute discussion, and a 6 minute mixed up discussion to increase sharing.
Topics and schedule were:
7:05 PM–8:50 PM:
- Making learnings from retrospectives stick
- Executive says just do Agile but don’t include me
- Scrum Master levels/bands in your organization
- Awkward silence?? / what to do / advice when everybody is not speaking during meetings and even if you call out the person, that person is not responding
We started wrapping up close to 9:00 in the evening with a quick retrospective, followed by a group screenshot. As always, we think we could have gone longer, but that will have to wait until the next meetup!
Agile Philippines meetups happen every last Wednesday of a month (mostly). This is a community event, and is only made possible by the people who go to the meetups, and the organizations who open their doors to allow us to meet as a community.

Interestingly, we’ve never had a meetup fall on March 24 before (at least in recorded history), so this meetup is a first in itself!
Also, we’ve heard that the folks from Waterfall Philippines are hosting their Second-ever Waterfall Philippines meetup on… April 1! One year to plan, and looks like they will REALLY do it!
