80th meetup! And we continued with deeper topics in relation to agility!

The cover photo was from the October meetup in 2019.

2019.10 Meetup

We made use of Lean Coffee to facilitate the meetup. We had 20 minute timeboxes for each topic, and were able to cover 5 topics for the entire meetup. We as a group decided not to do breakout rooms again.

Topics and schedule were:

7:05 PM–8:50 PM:

  • Agile principle: welcome changing requirements + responding to change over following a plan (link)
  • What’s more important: experience or certification? (link)
  • Full-stack to rule them all; development team transforming to full-stack and learning QA automation, then QA fearing of losing their job (link)
  • Release completes in 2 months but max of 1 sprint is only 1 month. So all stories from sprint N always moves to sprint N+1… what would be a best approach? (link)
  • Similarities and differences between an Agile Coach and a Scrum Master (link)

We started wrapping up close to 9:00 in the evening with a group screenshot. As always, we think we could have gone longer, but that will have to wait until the next meetup!

Agile Philippines meetups happen every last Wednesday of a month. This is a community event, and is only made possible by the people who go to the meetups, and the organizations who open their doors to allow us to meet as a community.

Please reach out if your organization is interested in hosting a future meetup.

See you in November!
