Ten Years of Agile Philippines
10 years ago this month, February 27, 2013, we had our first community meetup where we had an organization sponsor us.
The featured photo below was from that first meetup:
We’ve had small meetups all the way back to 2009, mostly when Bas Vodde was in Manila, and it was in 2013 when we really started getting organized as a community. The Agile Philippines Facebook group was then created a few days later, March 1, 2013.
Fast forward 10 years later:
Our 10th year meetup is also our 94th!
We made use of Lean Coffee to facilitate the meetup. We had a 20 minute timebox for each topic, and we could choose another timebox (or more) if the group wanted to discuss the topic further.
Topics and schedule were:
7:05 PM — 8:50 PM:
- Development team/members handling multiple projects simultaneously (link)
- What is the Product Goal of Agile Philippines in 2023? (link)
- Last Topic: Look back at 10 years of Agile Philippines 🙂 (link)
We then wrapped up with a closing circle, closing the meetup and the last 10 years, and opening the next 10!
Agile Philippines meetups happen every last Wednesday of a month. This is a community event, and is only made possible by the people who go to the meetups, and the organizations who open their doors to allow us to meet as a community.
Join us as we start the next 10 years as a community 🙂
